Chair Development
Educational Support and Development recognizes the need for specific educational opportunities for people in the department Chair position and is committed to developing a program of offerings that will meet the need of new Chairs as well as those who have been in the role for some time.
In March and April of 2004, planning sessions were held with Chairs from across the college to begin the development of a Chair Education Program. The following components were identified:

- Chairs’ Retreats
- In May or June of each year, a one day Chairs’ Retreat is held at our Interurban Campus with the aim of providing an opportunity for Chairs and Program Leaders to mix socially with one another as well as to participate in updates and question and answer sessions with the senior College management team and others.
